5 Cars You Can Actually Live In During Winter

Not every car can get you through a freezing night. This one looks at what actually matters: how flat the bed is, how well it holds heat, how much room you get, and what it costs to buy and keep running.

Behind the videos

How a video gets made

Every topic starts with a real question, usually one of yours. Here's what happens before anything gets published.

A real question

Most ideas come from the comments and from stories people send in. Where can you legally park overnight? What keeps a car warm at 0°F? What does it really cost?

The research

News reports, government counts, city rules, and the forums where people who actually live in cars and vans compare notes. Not just one article.

Checking the numbers

Stats and claims get checked against the original source before the script is final. If something can't be backed up, it comes out. On the newer videos the sources are in the description.

Fixing mistakes

If we get something wrong, tell us in the comments. Rules change from city to city, and the people watching often know their area better than any article.

A short note

Why this channel exists

For as long as I can remember I've wondered what it would be like to step out of the whole system. No 9 to 5, no landlord, no bills piling up. Just you, a van or a small cabin, figuring out the rest as you go.

I never fully did it myself, but I couldn't stop reading about the people who did. Some chose it for freedom. A lot of them didn't choose it at all. Rent went up, a job disappeared, and suddenly their car was their bedroom.

Either way, they all had to figure out the same things. Where to sleep, how to stay warm below zero, how to eat, shower and keep their stuff safe. That's what these videos are about: how it really works, without judging anyone for how they got there.

If you've lived it, you know more about this than I do. That's why the comments matter so much here.
